Helen Slade’s Gospel music performance at the Cotton Club in Harlem, NY was definitely unforgettable.  This was my first time there, although I’ve been wanting to go for what seemed like forever, and I’m so glad I did.  She was wonderful!  I found an article that contains fabulous black & white photos from the 1970’s that showcases Harlem during that decade.  Such beautiful photos and glimpse into everyday life….
