WATER   10 comments

It’s Fleet Week in New York!  OpSail 2012 and the U.S. Navy are commemorating the Bicentennial of the writing of The Star-Spangled Banner and the War of 1812;  tall ships from around the world are joining the U.S. and International Navies in the celebration.

6,000 sailors?  Be still my heart, I’ve always loved a man in uniform!!!! lol

I took this pic Wednesday morning during the Parade of Ships.  This New York Fire Department boat was saluting them as they passed through a certain point in the parade.
